Community Content
Senators Charles Schumer and Lamar Alexander, who head the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies, hosted a briefing Tuesday highlighting construction of the 10,000 square-foot platform where President Barack Obama will take the oath of office to begin his second term. With fewer than forty days until the ceremony, construction will be completed on time and under budget. The platform will hold 1,600 people at the public event on Jan. 21.
